RECENT WORK

My recent work is a look back at the basics of drawing from direct observation. Drawing in the landscape for the sheer pleasure of being in that environment.This has led to a number of sketches and observations of the landscape and the found object.

FINISHED PIECES

The following pieces, "THE SECRETGARDEN" was painted en plein air, painted in the garden from direct observation on a rare week of glorious weather. "CLAY PIPES AND MARMALADE" and "LOST and FOUND" are painted from pottery pieces found when digging in "THE LONG GARDEN" The piece "ROAD TO KNOCK" and pieces "15/012/012", "21/01/2012", "23/01/2012" are all studies from the original sketches and executed in oil and beeswax.
