ETCHINGS AND PRINTS ON JAPANESE PAPER
All of the work on this page relates to my attemt to investigate the possibility of making art from my experiences in the hairdressing trade.

The etchings were made by picking cut hair from the salon floor on sticky backed cellophane and acid etching the subsequent image onto metal plates before printing. The two larger pieces have had printed coded conversations written below the image. This was a response to other work dealing with sound, under the heading Experimental Work.

All pieces are individual and very unique. The prints on Japanese paper are made from wood block cuts taken from images of old salon chairs, and basins and making multiple prints of these.
